New Bare Minerals 5 piece problem solving brush collection

Hello Everybody!

Bare Minerals just came out with a new brush collection on QVC that is retailing for $61.98. It is a 5 piece brush collection that comes with a brush roll.

Is it worth it or not is my question. I have never really been a fan of the bare minerals brushes before due to the fact that they are made out of animal hairs. I definitely prefer synthetic bristles as they are hypo-allergenic and much more sanitary.

The first brush on the left is a dual sided concealer brush that has a synthetic side and a non synthetic side.
The second brush from the left is called a Flawless buffing brush. It has a flat top and is supposedly used to give perfect coverage.

The third brush is the Flawless Finish brush-perfect for finishing powder.
The fourth brush is called the Contour&Blend Fan brush-used for highlighting and contouring. This has  synthetic fibers on the top.

The fifth brush is The Multitasking Kabuki brush which is made out of synthetic hair and allows for good coverage. The cut of the brush is a little different and allows the brush head to get into the little corners around your nose and underneath your eyes.

I am debating on whether or not I should purchase these.

What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Tarte Egyptian Black Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in Black

Hello Lovlies,

I have been on a gel eyeliner shopping spree. After I picked up the regular Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof liner, I decided I wanted another one. I checked out QVC and they had this Egyptian Kohl gel liner.

I found this one to be different altogether. It is much more creamier and has a shiny finish when applied. I like the consistency and the staying power. It goes on very smoothly and like the Amazonian Clay liner this is also waterproof.

The brush has a regular pointed tip as well as an angled tip, so it turns out to be very useful.

I would definitely repurchase this one and I believe I bought it on qvc for $22.

Please do leave me a comment and let me know how it works!

Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint- Envy

Hello Everyone!

I have never been into lip products that much until a couple weeks ago when I picked up Tarte's matte LipSurgence in Envy. This is a beautiful rose/berry color and it's one of those 'My lips but better' colors.  I think this is definitely not as pigmented as a regular lipstick but it can be built up. Even though it's matte it does not feel dry on my lips at all. The good part is the staying power. I have had up to 5 hours with this thing. The only drawback is the price- $24. There are many brands out there who ave come out with similar dupes such as Covergirl, Clinique, and Revlon. I can't say much about the other ones, but I bought the Tarte one purely for the natural ingredients. Do let me know how it works out if you do end up buying one of these. I would definitely repurchase.

Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye and Cheek Palette

Hello everyone!

Recently Tarte released their summer collection. Basically, the entire collection is influenced by the Aqualillies swim team. So all the colors are very bright, and summery.

I picked up the Eye and Cheek Palette as well as the Amazonian Clay waterproof gel liner in black.

All the colors are suitable for everyday looks in my opinion.
4 out of the 6 eyeshadows are shimmery and two of them
are matte. They are pigmented well but the only color that was different than what I have seen before is the blue. I absolutely loved the blush color. It is a perfect coral for summer. The highlighter is absolutely amazing when blended well. It is a but on the shimmery side, but I quite like that for the summer. The bronzer is a bit on the light side for my tan skin tone. But, I find that this palette is very convenient. It has everything you need. It retails for $38 and can be found in Ulta, Sephora, Tarte.com, etc. I would definitely recommend getting, and as you can see the packaging is gorgeous.
If you pick it up, leave me a comment and tell me how you liked it!

Tarte-Show your true colors collection&Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation

Hey gals!

I wanted to review the new Tarte-Show our true colors collection. This is a four piece collection that was only available at Ulta and Ulta.com during the month of march. I bought it for $32. Considered it a good steal!

It comes with a cream blush in the shade achiote. I would describe this as a beautiful coral color with pink undertones in it. It applies sheer, so the color is buildable. The packaging is so pretty as well! ( I am a sucker for packaging).

This set also includes a Lip shine in the shade Smitten. This is a baby pink color. I have dark lips and this color is way to pale on me. But the formula is very nice and it glides on smoothly.
The kit also has a Modern Eyes two sided shadow/pencil. The shadow is a pretty purple-bronze color and the liner is a dark purple. Both of them stayed on for about 8 hours.

Last but not least, the kit comes with a sample size of the Maracuja C-brightener eye cream. I think I got a defected product because there was very little eye cream when I opened it. But the eye cream just reminds me of a more oilier version of Origins' GinZing eye cream.

I also want to review the new Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation that was released last month on QVC. I believe it is exclusive to QVC right now but will be available later on other websites/stores starting late summer. This foundation retails for about $39 and some change and comes with an airbrush kabuki brush. I think that this foundation is even better than BE's. I love the coverage and the powder is finely milled. The finish goes on natural but as the day progresses it becomes a little dewy on me (which I love). This jar contains .7g of product. The brush is amazing and I think it makes a difference to the application. I would definitely purchase this on QVC as they have this deal. But there are only 5 shades that are available online. This foundation is worth every penny and I would repurchase.

New goodies-gel eyeliner/brushes/mascara

Hello Lovlies,

It has been a long time since I last blogged.. and I apologize. Sometimes things get too busy and you start to forget what is most important.

Anyways, I wanted to review three new items today.

The first being the TARTE Amazonian clay waterproof liner. I have never tried gel liners prior to this but definitely wanted to get on the bandwagon. My liquid liners weren't giving me the bold matte finish that I was looking. I bought this liner back in December, so I have been trying it out for the last three months. Now that I religiously use it, I am in love with the gel liner. It goes on smoothly, and it's very pigmented. I also love that it comes with a double-ended liner brush. It retails for $24, and can be found in Ulta, Sephora, and the Tarte website. So far, I am loving Tarte products, and have some more to review for you guys later.

The next thing I want to review is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Every time I go to Ulta this brush is sold out all the time. It is not sold in the kits, and comes as an individual brush. This brush comes from the line of one of the Pixiwoo sisters-Sam. I LOVE this brush. It is made of all synthetic Taklon bristles, which is amazing for sensitive skin. Also, buffing and stroking is made easier with this brush. I really think that the brush is of very good quality and feels very sturdy. I even went back to Ulta and bought myself a spare. As you can see, the bristles are densely packed. But when you wash the brush, surprisingly the bristles dry off extremely fast. This brush retails for $9. Go grab it at Ulta when they have a buy one get one %50 off. But, even at $9, this brush is very affordable and does a a better job at application that some of the high end brushes I have tried

Last but not last- The Origins GinZing Mascara! I was in the market for a new mascara and as soon as I heard that Origins was releasing a mascara I went to go pick it up. This has some coffee extract which is used to make lashes more voluminous. I am very happy with this mascara. I think that the head on the wand is a bit big, but I feel that his helps me to get more volume in my lashes. This mascara retails for $17.50. I also realized the tube is pretty big compared to some other mascaras of the same price range in the market. So check it out and see what you think!

Well that's it for today guys, but I will keep up with my blogging from now on!

Tarte, Rosebud, Korres

Hi gals!
I am so sorry that I have not updated my blog in such a long time. I was out of town for actually 5 weeks and was not able to write. Now that I am back, I really want to talk to you all about some products. First off, I was able to purchase a Tarte cheek stain in the color, full blossom. For those of you who don't know what this product is about, let me update you. It is basically a gel-like, push-up blush stick. It is so sheer and light. I find that when I wear this product my skin looks dewy, and bright. I purchased this on ebay, as they do not sell this particular color in the stores. I just purchased a new set of these cheek stains and I will definitely share a review. This is basically a nice raspberry color, and can be worn in the winter or summer!

The second product I wanted to talk about is the Rosebud Salve. This is basically a nice lip balm with a hint of a light pink color to it, but it is not sticky and has a slight sheen. I personally love it, but the only downside is that it is made out of petroleum, but honestly it is the like a sheer gloss without the stickiness. You can purchase this in Sephora and is sold for $6. I have also tried their mint one as well and love that one equally. It comes in a little tin, but do not leave it out in a warm area as it will melt. For those who do not like the tin, it can be found in a tube. But, don't let the tin stop you from purchasing it. :)

I also ended up purchasing the third color in the set of the Korres Cheek butters. It is called Chara Crimson. This is a rich red color, with a hint of sparkle. But I love it! I reviewed the two other colors in my previous post, so be sure to check it out!
