Perfect Holiday Flush with Tarte's Leave her Blushing set of 3 Amazonian Clay Blushes& blush brush

Hey Everyone!

I am a big blush junkie. So of course when all of the blush collections for the Holidays from Tarte came out, I was probably one of the first ones to jump on the bandwagon.

This particular comes with three individual deluxe sized Amazonian Clay blushes and they are each .05 grams. This set retails for $34 and comes with a brush. Unfortunately this particular holiday set is only available at www.tartecosmetics.com

I purchased the one on QVC last month which comes with 3/4 blushes in this set plus an extra one. The set from qvc does not include a blush.

By far, these are the BEST blushes I have ever come across. I think that their pigmentation, wear, ingredients, etc. are far more superior than that of Bare Minerals. If you are looking for an introductory set from Tarte- this is the one!

I believe the set that I am talking about does not include the second blush from the left. The colors are gorgeous and you will not be disappointed!

More from Acure Organics!

Hey Everyone,

So after being especially happy with the eye cream/Argan oil from Acure Organics I was graciously sent some samples from them to try out.

I have been testing these products out for about 4 weeks now and it's safe to say I am happy with them!

The first is this mask called the Argan Stem Cell+CGF Facial Mask Cell Stimulating. Basically, it is a clay mask that reduces the size of your pores and removes any impurities while at the same time provides hydration. This retails for $15.99 for a 1oz. Overall, I am pleased with this mask. It does not dry out my skin after using it- which is a great thing! The smell is not overpower and reminds me of mint.

The next product is the Seriously Hydrating Toner. Many people skip on toner as they think it's not necessary. But, it is. A toner removes all the dirt that a cleanser does not. This one is for skins that need extra moisture. It strongly smells of calendula-which some may like and some may not. It retails for $15.99 for a 2oz bottle. I especially like the packaging as it comes in a glass bottle, but it is definitely not easy to tote around.

The third product is the Marula Oil. I really liked the Argan oil, but this one is my favorite! It literally absorbs into the skin without leaving a residue and it is so hydrating. What is surprising is that even though it is so hydrating it did not break me out! I will definitely repurchase this one. Dry skinned people will love this thing and the best part is, it does not smell at all. This one retails for $15.99 for a 1oz bottle.

Overall, I am really pleased with all three of the products. One thing to remember is, the smell of organic products will definitely be different from the more synthetic ones out there. This is because all of the products are made with natural and organic ingredients without harsh chemicals. Many people avoid organic products because of the smell, but trust me that the results and affects on one's body are much better and safer than drugstore/synthetic products!

All of these products can be purchased at www.acureorganics.com.

TARTE BOW&GO HOLIDAY TSV

Hello Everyone!

So this upcoming month is going to be crazy on QVC. All of these holiday beauty collections are coming out and it is insane.

On that note, Tarte will be coming out with a new TSV on Nov.18th but I got a chance to pre-order it.
It is called the Tarte Bow&Go 3-in-1 collection.

Basically, it comes with three boxes.

1) The first box contains 4 full size lipsurgence lip cremes.
2) The second box comes with 2 Amazonian clay liners and 2 full size mascaras.
3) The third and final box comes with a palette of 16 eyeshadows.

You can keep all three of them for yourself or gift them accordingly.

If you order it now, you can use the item number A252459.  I believe it retails for $49.98 and is available with 3 easy pay installments.

I would definitely order this item and tt is available for auto-delivery as well. You will get one additional shipment in April. Tarte always gives you good value for your money. Grab the kit while you can.

ACURE SKINCARE

Hello Everyone!

Sorry it's been a while, but it has been CRAZY with tons and tons of school work/midterms.

As you know, I have been a religious user of Origins Skincare. But, I wanted to branch out and see what was available in the market that was more Organic. I heard good things about ACURE skincare and while I was at WholeFoods last week, I decided to give it a try.

I bought 2 things. An eye cream and a facial oil

1. The Eye Cream is called ACURE Chlorella+Edelweiss Stem Cell Eye Cream.
It comes in a 1oz and retails for $18.99. I personally think that is a pretty darn good price for an eye cream don't ya think?

This eye cream is unscented, so that is a given bonus. The consistency reminds me of a gel-like moisturizer. While putting it on, it may seem as though it might not be hydrating enough, but it most definitely is. I touched my under eye area a couple of hours later to find that the skin felt soft and supple. The packaging also is in a tube now. So don't worry about it getting contaminated. Overall, I think this is a good buy. And you couldn't get more organic/natural than this even if you wanted to. The ingredients are made up of good stuff like Goji berries/Acai Berries, etc.

2. The second item I bought was the Argan Oil. This also comes in a 1 oz  glass bottle, and has a little dropper. It retails for $14.99. So I have heard a number of things about Argan oil, but I had never tried it before. The Josie Maran oil is far to expensive in my mind, and this seemed like a perfect alternative. The smell is a little nutty, but goes away after applying it. The oil doesn't sit on top of the skin like Jojoba oil or Almond oil might. It just gets absorbed into the skin right away. This probably is an amazing oil for people with oily skins, and needless to say it works for drier skins. I would really recommend trying this out.

Overall, I am really happy with my purchases. This skincare brand can be found at Whole Foods and at  acureorganics.com (With free shipping :) ).

I am definitely looking forward to trying out more things from this line. Hope you enjoy!

REAL TECHNIQUES- Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hello Lovlies,

Hope your Sunday is going well. I just wanted to introduce a new product that will be in the market soon.

It is a new makeup sponge by Real Techniques. It is very similar to the Beauty Blender, but I have never tried one of those due to the steep price.

I am so excited to try this product, and from what I have hear the quality is excellent. You can order this now from the Real Techniques official website or from iherb.com for 6 dollars.

It has three sides to it. A flat edge, a pointy side and a curved edge. Overall, I think it will be a good buy. If anyone already has it let me know your thoughts!

Wonders with Browns

Hello all,

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Whenever I go shopping for eye shadows, I am always drawn towards the browns. I love a good neutral look. You can use browns to go for a smokey look or you could use them for an every day natural look. All upto you!

Here is a look that I wanted to  share with y'all. This eye makeup look can be work for a more dramatic day look or a night look.

First, I applied a shade called Queen Tiffany from Bare Minerals, all over the lid. Next, I used a shaded called Dark Chocolate for the crease. This is also from BE. In the inner corners of my eye, I used a highlight from BE called Queen Phyllis. To line my toplashes, I used Tarte's waterproof Amazonian Clay liner. For my bottom lashes/waterline I used BE's round the clock waterproof liner in the shade Midnight. For mascara I used  Origins Ginzing mascara.

This look is very easy to recreate. I hope you all enjoy! Leave me a comment below if you like it!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer

Hello everyone!

Sorry I dropped off the radar for a while. I have been vacationing since June, so internet connection is hard to come by.

Origins released another product in their GinZing line. This time, it's a moisturizer!I ordered it when it first came out in April, and I have been loving it ever since I started using it.

It retails around $26.50 for 1.7oz. Good price considering their other moisturizers are about $13 more.  The consistency is very light, and gel-y like in texture and actually it is quite hydrating considering the fact that it is an oil-free moisturizer. This is perfect for the summer months in my opinion. The smell is slightly citrus-y but not overwhelming at all.

When applied, I think that my skin looks brighter instantly. A lot of people in my household have noticed that as well. So it really gives you that boost of energy, similar to what the eye -cream from the line does for tired-looking eyes.

I personally would not recommend this for older skins unless one has oily skin. I feel like mature skins would require something thicker. But, if you are looking for an everyday moisturizer which has no anti-aging properties whatsoever I would totally recommend this. My 15 year old sister uses it as well and she loves it. I have dry skin and she has oily skin so it works for all skin types. It absolutely does not leave a greasy residue when applied and in fact I think it absorbs completely into the skin, making you feel as though you have nothing on your skin.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Most definitely, you cannot go wrong with this moisturizer. I am looking forward to the Origins holiday kits so I can grab another one of these.

KORRES Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Foundation

Hello everybody!

I never use to believe in using liquid foundations! I think that I was led into believing that they include all sorts of harsh binders, etc. that clog up your pores. This probably is true of a lot of drugstore brands but I think many brands are starting to reformulate their foundations without some of the harsh chemicals. Since I have dry skin, I have been liking liquid foundations more and more. The latest one I have tried is from Korres. I love their products! Their lip butters and cheek butters are definitely been hits and they all smell sooooo good :). I was not really sure that I wanted to try this new foundation out since it says anti-aging. But, when the MUA tried it on me in Sephora, I was sold.  This foundation has a skin finish. It is not matte nor is it extremely dewy, but it looks like your skin but better. I found that it became a bit dewier on my skin as the day went by but I am loving it. I don't even feel like I am wearing foundation. The coverage is medium, and it definitely can be built up to be a more full coverage foundation. It is sold at Sephora stores and Sephora.com. There are about 8 shades to choose from and it is a .91 0z bottle that retails for $39. I particularly like the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a nice pump. I will definitely repurchase when this runs out. It is actually very hydrating because it is anti-aging I suppose. Over all I am happy and so is my skin :)

Enjoy and let me know if you pick this up!

Tarte Airblush Maracuja Blush- Shimmering Poppy

Hello Everyone!

Hope y'all are having a good weekend. I love,  I mean LOVE collecting new blushes. I recently added one to my huge collection from Tarte. Its a beautiful burnt rose color from their airblush collection called Shimmering Poppy. These are not powder blushes nor are they cream/gel. They have a bouncy texture to them. When applied it gives a slight powdery finish, but more natural than an actual powder blush. I recommend applying the color with a stippling brush so the color intensity can be built up. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. They have two other colors in the range-a peach color, and a bright pink color. Might try those out! This blush retails for $25 and can be found at Ulta, Tartecosmetics.com.

Let me know if you pick one up and like it!

New Bare Minerals 5 piece problem solving brush collection

Hello Everybody!

Bare Minerals just came out with a new brush collection on QVC that is retailing for $61.98. It is a 5 piece brush collection that comes with a brush roll.

Is it worth it or not is my question. I have never really been a fan of the bare minerals brushes before due to the fact that they are made out of animal hairs. I definitely prefer synthetic bristles as they are hypo-allergenic and much more sanitary.

The first brush on the left is a dual sided concealer brush that has a synthetic side and a non synthetic side.
The second brush from the left is called a Flawless buffing brush. It has a flat top and is supposedly used to give perfect coverage.

The third brush is the Flawless Finish brush-perfect for finishing powder.
The fourth brush is called the Contour&Blend Fan brush-used for highlighting and contouring. This has  synthetic fibers on the top.

The fifth brush is The Multitasking Kabuki brush which is made out of synthetic hair and allows for good coverage. The cut of the brush is a little different and allows the brush head to get into the little corners around your nose and underneath your eyes.

I am debating on whether or not I should purchase these.

What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Tarte Egyptian Black Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in Black

Hello Lovlies,

I have been on a gel eyeliner shopping spree. After I picked up the regular Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof liner, I decided I wanted another one. I checked out QVC and they had this Egyptian Kohl gel liner.

I found this one to be different altogether. It is much more creamier and has a shiny finish when applied. I like the consistency and the staying power. It goes on very smoothly and like the Amazonian Clay liner this is also waterproof.

The brush has a regular pointed tip as well as an angled tip, so it turns out to be very useful.

I would definitely repurchase this one and I believe I bought it on qvc for $22.

Please do leave me a comment and let me know how it works!

Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint- Envy

Hello Everyone!

I have never been into lip products that much until a couple weeks ago when I picked up Tarte's matte LipSurgence in Envy. This is a beautiful rose/berry color and it's one of those 'My lips but better' colors.  I think this is definitely not as pigmented as a regular lipstick but it can be built up. Even though it's matte it does not feel dry on my lips at all. The good part is the staying power. I have had up to 5 hours with this thing. The only drawback is the price- $24. There are many brands out there who ave come out with similar dupes such as Covergirl, Clinique, and Revlon. I can't say much about the other ones, but I bought the Tarte one purely for the natural ingredients. Do let me know how it works out if you do end up buying one of these. I would definitely repurchase.

Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye and Cheek Palette

Hello everyone!

Recently Tarte released their summer collection. Basically, the entire collection is influenced by the Aqualillies swim team. So all the colors are very bright, and summery.

I picked up the Eye and Cheek Palette as well as the Amazonian Clay waterproof gel liner in black.

All the colors are suitable for everyday looks in my opinion.
4 out of the 6 eyeshadows are shimmery and two of them
are matte. They are pigmented well but the only color that was different than what I have seen before is the blue. I absolutely loved the blush color. It is a perfect coral for summer. The highlighter is absolutely amazing when blended well. It is a but on the shimmery side, but I quite like that for the summer. The bronzer is a bit on the light side for my tan skin tone. But, I find that this palette is very convenient. It has everything you need. It retails for $38 and can be found in Ulta, Sephora, Tarte.com, etc. I would definitely recommend getting, and as you can see the packaging is gorgeous.
If you pick it up, leave me a comment and tell me how you liked it!

Tarte-Show your true colors collection&Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation

Hey gals!

I wanted to review the new Tarte-Show our true colors collection. This is a four piece collection that was only available at Ulta and Ulta.com during the month of march. I bought it for $32. Considered it a good steal!

It comes with a cream blush in the shade achiote. I would describe this as a beautiful coral color with pink undertones in it. It applies sheer, so the color is buildable. The packaging is so pretty as well! ( I am a sucker for packaging).

This set also includes a Lip shine in the shade Smitten. This is a baby pink color. I have dark lips and this color is way to pale on me. But the formula is very nice and it glides on smoothly.
The kit also has a Modern Eyes two sided shadow/pencil. The shadow is a pretty purple-bronze color and the liner is a dark purple. Both of them stayed on for about 8 hours.

Last but not least, the kit comes with a sample size of the Maracuja C-brightener eye cream. I think I got a defected product because there was very little eye cream when I opened it. But the eye cream just reminds me of a more oilier version of Origins' GinZing eye cream.

I also want to review the new Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation that was released last month on QVC. I believe it is exclusive to QVC right now but will be available later on other websites/stores starting late summer. This foundation retails for about $39 and some change and comes with an airbrush kabuki brush. I think that this foundation is even better than BE's. I love the coverage and the powder is finely milled. The finish goes on natural but as the day progresses it becomes a little dewy on me (which I love). This jar contains .7g of product. The brush is amazing and I think it makes a difference to the application. I would definitely purchase this on QVC as they have this deal. But there are only 5 shades that are available online. This foundation is worth every penny and I would repurchase.

New goodies-gel eyeliner/brushes/mascara

Hello Lovlies,

It has been a long time since I last blogged.. and I apologize. Sometimes things get too busy and you start to forget what is most important.

Anyways, I wanted to review three new items today.

The first being the TARTE Amazonian clay waterproof liner. I have never tried gel liners prior to this but definitely wanted to get on the bandwagon. My liquid liners weren't giving me the bold matte finish that I was looking. I bought this liner back in December, so I have been trying it out for the last three months. Now that I religiously use it, I am in love with the gel liner. It goes on smoothly, and it's very pigmented. I also love that it comes with a double-ended liner brush. It retails for $24, and can be found in Ulta, Sephora, and the Tarte website. So far, I am loving Tarte products, and have some more to review for you guys later.

The next thing I want to review is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Every time I go to Ulta this brush is sold out all the time. It is not sold in the kits, and comes as an individual brush. This brush comes from the line of one of the Pixiwoo sisters-Sam. I LOVE this brush. It is made of all synthetic Taklon bristles, which is amazing for sensitive skin. Also, buffing and stroking is made easier with this brush. I really think that the brush is of very good quality and feels very sturdy. I even went back to Ulta and bought myself a spare. As you can see, the bristles are densely packed. But when you wash the brush, surprisingly the bristles dry off extremely fast. This brush retails for $9. Go grab it at Ulta when they have a buy one get one %50 off. But, even at $9, this brush is very affordable and does a a better job at application that some of the high end brushes I have tried

Last but not last- The Origins GinZing Mascara! I was in the market for a new mascara and as soon as I heard that Origins was releasing a mascara I went to go pick it up. This has some coffee extract which is used to make lashes more voluminous. I am very happy with this mascara. I think that the head on the wand is a bit big, but I feel that his helps me to get more volume in my lashes. This mascara retails for $17.50. I also realized the tube is pretty big compared to some other mascaras of the same price range in the market. So check it out and see what you think!

Well that's it for today guys, but I will keep up with my blogging from now on!
